National Family Support Scheme- SankatMochan (NFBS)
State Scheme, Public Service, Kutumb Sahay (Family Assistance) Scheme Kutumb Sahay (Family Assistance) Scheme In Gujarat: The primary breadwinner must be a member of the family whose income constituted a substantial share of the total earnings of the household. Such a bread earner’s death would have occurred when she/he is over the age of 18 and under the age of 60.
NFBS’s primary asset is its financial assistance for dependent beneficiaries. Although there’s nothing to substitute the emotional loss or mental pain, financial assistance may make life easier for the family of the deceased, particularly those living under the poverty line. 1. A family should be in BPL List |
2. The natural or accidental death of the main income earner of the family |
3. Age of dead male or female should be more than 18 years and less than 60 years |
4. Application to be submitted within 2 years after the death |
Benefits: Rs. 20,000/- to the family.

The TalukaMamlatdars are authorized to approve or disapprove of the assistance under this scheme. An appeal can be given to Prant Officer in 60 days in case of disapproval of the application.

At the district level, Zila Parishad or his equivalent was entrusted with the implementation of the scheme. At the local level, the Scheme will be enforced by the Gram Panchayat / Municipality.
